PURPOSE
This role work alongside the Missions Pastor connecting the church to the local community and helping the
church to meet its goal of making disciples by preparing church members and ministries to share the Christian
faith.
This includes developing a comprehensive annual outreach plan, expanding the local outreach volunteer
base and providing training pertinent to evangelism and community outreach techniques, providing
opportunities within the community for individual, ministry and church wide outreach efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
• Communicate & implement Community Transformation Ministry Vision for the entire church.
• Develop and maintain relationships with para and partner ministries for increased community
transformation opportunities.
• Coordinate with VML’s for all aspects of outreach opportunities, including but not limited to location,
items needed, promotion, and ground transportation.
• Coordinate and develop leader strategies for recruiting, training and mentoring leaders and
volunteers.
• Be the subject matter expert with regard to outreach trends, issues, resources and an advocate for reaching
the lost; educating the congregation on the needs and opportunities in the local church community.
• Mobilize church staff to continually create opportunities through events and other venues for reaching new
people in the community with the gospel and inviting them to church services.
• Schedule, facilitate and organize regular meetings with VML’s, host organizations and volunteers.
• Develop an annual budget and manage the disbursement of budgeted funds for Community Transformation
within the guidelines of the approved budget and in adherence with the purchasing policies of the church.
• Develop strategy and vision for activities and staffing for all lobby functions for CT Teams.
• Establish specific relationships with local community organizations to ensure
continuous awareness of the church in the community.
• Coordinate Small Group serving opportunities in alignment with the new discipleship model.
• Communicate regularly about the community transformation goals, objectives, and outcomes; including
providing a monthly report showing progress against those areas.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Biblical Leadership,
Management or equivalent a plus.
• 3+ years Ministry Leadership experience in evangelistic/community
outreach in a 5,000+ church preferred.
• Flexible schedule for travel; may include weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliable transportation to travel between campuses and events.

COMPUTER / SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency with Mac environment and Microsoft Office 365 software.
